  • Dr. Matthew Grinstein

    General Dentist Limited to Paediatrics

    Dr. Matt graduated from dentistry from the University of Western Ontario in 2008. After graduation, he spent two years treating children at the Hospital for Sick Children and the University of Toronto Pediatric department.

    A major goal of Dr. Matt is to create a fun environment for the children he treats, in the hopes of making their dental experiences positive. With training in dental trauma, special needs and sedation, he looks forward to treating your children, whatever their dental needs. He prides himself in taking the time to explain to parents the state of their children’s mouths and discusses in detail how one can take better care and prevent the start of tooth decay and other oral problems.

    Dr. Matt enjoys lecturing to dentists on various topics related to pediatric dentistry. He has completed is Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training and has extensive experience treating hundreds of cases of sedation services for kids under general anesthesia.

    He enjoys both playing and watching sports as well as married life and raising his dog Bentley. In May 2011, he welcomed the birth of his first child Jake.

  • Dr. David Choo Chong

    Paediatric Dentist

    Dr. Choo Chong is a dedicated and compassionate general dentist, with a mission: to turn tiny teeth into healthy, happy smiles—and have a little fun along the way. Known for his upbeat energy and gentle approach, Dr. Choo Chong's goal is to make even the most nervous little patients feel like dental superheroes. With his alma mater at Upper Canada College, Dr. Choo Chong is grateful to give back to the Forest Hill community where he grew up.

    Dr. Choo Chong completed his Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences at McMaster University, followed by a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with distinction. Along the way, he was presented multiple awards for excellence in both academics and patient care. Motivated by a deep commitment to children's oral health, Dr. Choo Chong pursued advanced specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Oishei Children’s Hospital and the University at Buffalo, where he mastered everything from sedation and restorative dentistry to behavior guidance and dental trauma management. He has a special interest in minimally invasive care, working with medically complex patients, and treatment under general anesthesia to ensure a safe and stress-free experience for all children.

    When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Dr. David chasing after his nephews, daydreaming about his next travel adventure, or enjoying a good concert or art exhibit. He believes that dental visits should be filled with kindness, laughter, and maybe even a sticker or two. His goal? Helping every child feel like a rockstar in the dental chair—one smile at a time.

  • Dr. Dennis Krmec

    Paediatric Dentist

    Dr. Dennis Krmec received his Honours B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Toronto in 1981. In 1986 he graduated from the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Dentistry. He completed his specialty training in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry in 1990. He has been a clinical lecturer at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Krmec has been a clinical instructor in the Graduate Program in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry SurgiCenter. He is currently a Director of the Canadian Dental Protective Association.

    He is Director of Dental Risk Management at CDPA. He is the Former Chief, Division of Dentistry, Department of Surgery, William Osler Health System. He is a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Krmec was presented with the 2023 community service award by the Ontario Dental Association. He maintains a full-time clinical practice limited to Paediatric Dentistry in Toronto.

    Dr. Krmec has spent his entire career enjoying the privilege of treating kids and in his spare time enjoys participating in a variety of sports and travelling with his family.
