Your First Visit

Please arrive about 10 minutes early so that you have enough time to fill out your child's New Patient Form.

Initial Examination

When you bring your child to our office for the first time for a dental appointment, the visit usually starts with a review of their medical and dental history. The dentist will then do a full check-up, which includes looking closely at their teeth, gums, bite, and jaw to make sure everything is developing properly. If needed, X-rays may be taken to get a better look at what’s happening below the surface.

Treatment Plan

After reviewing your child’s dental and medical history and completing their exam, the dentist will create a personalized treatment plan tailored to their needs. They’ll also take the time to answer any questions you have about your child’s oral health, and go over the available treatment options, so you feel confident and informed every step of the way.

Insurance & Payment Methods

At Treehouse Dental Care, we’re here to make the financial side of dental care as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Our team will walk you through your payment options and help you understand how your insurance benefits can be applied. Whether it’s answering questions, submitting claims, or navigating insurance plans, we’ll support you every step of the way so you can stay focused on your family’s oral health.

Insurance Claims

We can direct bill your insurance company and our administrative team is happy to assist you in understanding your insurance plan better.

Payment Methods

The full treatment cost (or the patient portion if direct-billing to your insurance) must be paid at the time of your child's appointment. We accept payment by cash, cheque, debit or most major credit cards.

Support for Anxious Children

Anxiety around dental appointments is very common, but it's important to help your child overcome those fears while they're young so they can feel empowered to take care of their oral health throughout their life.

The team at Treehouse Dental Care has a variety of practices in place, including dental sedation options, to help your child feel relaxed during their appointments.
