Invisalign First for Kids

Invisalign First is a series of clear, removable orthodontic appliances that are designed to straighten children's teeth as they grow.

Invisalign First can be used to correct arch development and expansion issues, tooth spacing irregularities, crowding, and protrusions. In general, it can also help change the overall appearance of your child's smile.

Invisalign First aligners are designed to accommodate a mix of baby and permanent teeth. The aligners guide children's teeth into the correct positions which may eliminate the need for more extensive or invasive orthodontic treatment when they are older.

Does my child need Invisalign First?

If your child is between the ages of six and 10 and shows signs of crowding, spacing, narrow dental arches, or early bite issues (like underbite or overbite), they may benefit from Invisalign First. With a thorough evaluation using digital scans, our team can determine whether early treatment will help prevent more complex issues later on.

Invisalign First Benefits for Kids

Invisalign First is a kid-friendly alternative to traditional braces. Using special eruption tabs, Invisalign first leaves room for the incoming permanent teeth, and can help guide them into the proper positions as they emerge.

This treatment can address a variety of dental concerns in growing kids, such as crowding, gaps, and narrow arches. Because the aligners are removable, it’s easier for children to brush and floss properly. Plus, they don't use metal brackets and wires, which means there is less chance of irritation in their mouth.

How Invisalign First Works

Invisalign First expands and contours your child’s jaw line via a process called dental arch expansion.

It involves applying pressure to the teeth over an extended period of time to increase the width of the dental arch.

During treatment, the device will shift your child’s teeth into their new positions. Depending on the nature of your child’s misalignment, they may require either a pair of aligners (for both the upper and lower jaw) or just one aligner.
